Hello all. Just want to show you my progress from April to now, Well the latest picture was taken mid August so nearly now. February this year my grandfather in Australia had a stroke, He is 90 and I hadn’t seen him for 10 years. When the news reached me I had many I felt I had to go and see him as I thought this was may be last chance I get. He’s fine and going over to see my family ended up being great, and as you can see from my first picture which was taken when I got back I indulged a fair bit out there and before that over christmas and new year.
Since then I have been making steady progress. I started by cutting out all the rubbish I was eating in Australia and before. I didn’t go too low on carbs to start with. It’s easy to want to go super low but much harder to sustain so I started slow. The same can be said for the training. After two weeks off, which for me is a lot I also felt it was sensible to start slow. I started with four sessions a week in the first month. I got results pretty quickly. Through the months I have been steadily lowering my calories targeting mainly carbs as I want to keep enough protein in so I limit the muscle I lose as I’m trying to lose weight. I’m pretty low now. I get most of my carbs from vegetables apart from 2 days a week, Wednesday and one meal on the weekend. The Wednesday I have oats in the morning and maybe a handful of rice with my evening meal. Wednesday is the day I train legs so it’s a good day to do this my body soaks it all up and makes gives me the energy I need for whats usually my toughest session of the week. For you guys that train with us and just for people who regularly train you all know legs day is almost always the toughest session but also the most satisfying when completed. The reason I have one on the weekend is I like to have a meal with my family where I don’t (within reason) have to worry about what I’m eating. I do try to account for the calories somewhere in the week to limit the damage. As yet this isn’t negatively effecting my progress so I will carry on until it does. Over the weeks I will give you.
I will give you guys a idea of the type of training and nutrition/ meals and recipis i,ve been using over the last few months.
